The policy direction of MoneyMasters is guided by Chairman –Dunbar McFarlane along with directors Claudette Crooks, Dennis Hickey, Trevor Blake, and Carol Anglin.
MoneyMasters Leadership Team
Mr. Dunbar McFarlane
Dunbar McFarlane was employed to Barclays Bank Jamaica Limited which later became National Commercial
Bank Jamaica Limited from 1965 to 2002. He passed through the ranks of Clerk, Cashier, Accounts Officer,
Supervisor, Manager, Senior Manager, and Executive to CEO and Managing Director of the Parent Company,
NCB Group Limited. In 2000, Mr. Dunbar was appointed Deputy Chairman, a position from which he retired
in July 2002.
From 2002 – 2013, Mr. Dunbar was employed to Jamaica National Building Society as Financial Consultant
and assigned to National Building Society of Cayman, a fully owned subsidiary, as General Manager.
He retired from the company April 2013.
Ms. Claudette Crooks
President for MoneyMasters Limited
Claudette Crooks has thirty (30) years’ experience in the financial services industry with twenty (20)
years in Senior Management positions. Her work experience spans the Capital Markets, with experience
in the fixed income, equities and corporate finance markets. Her initial experience in the financial
industry was with the commercial banking sector. Claudette Crooks is known to have conceptualized,
opened and successfully operated her own investment firm, Investment Masters Limited that was later
sold to Guardian Holdings Limited.
She conceptualized and co-founded Today’s Money Limited, a financial information firm. Claudette Crooks
now commits her experience and passion for investing to MoneyMasters Limited, a money management
firm. Claudette Crooks holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a major
in Finance from the University of the West Indies and a BSc. in Management Studies from the same
institution. Her qualifications also includes a number of industry specific courses spanning asset
management, securities trading and portfolio management.
Mr. Dennis Hickey
Managing Director for MoneyMasters Money Services Limited
Dennis Hickey is Managing Director of MoneyMasters Money Services Limited (MMMSL), a lending and project
development firm. Dennis previously held the positions of Executive Director of the Tourism Product
Development Company Limited (TPDCo) and Vice President of MoneyMasters Limited (MML), a licensed
money management and financial services company where he managed the business development and marketing
portfolios. He currently serves as director of both MML and MMMSL.
Dennis is a trained Economist with a Master of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University, Graduate
Programme in Economic Development which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar. He has more than 20 years
of experience in credit, delinquency management, business development, marketing financial services
and operations management having held leadership positions at COK Co-operative Credit Union, Dyoll
Caribbean Financial Services Limited and Leder Mode Limited. Mr. Hickey was a member of the adjunct
Faculty of the University of Technology (UTECH), Jamaica for 15 years and a former Chairman of the
Board of Agro Investment Corporation Jamaica as well as a Director of the Transport Authority.
Dennis Hickey also holds a B.A. in Business Administration from UTECH and a Diploma in Marketing from
the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), England. He continues to serve the Fulbright/Humphrey
Alumni Association as an Executive Member, the Knox Past Students Association and he is also the
Chairman of the Board of Tarrant Primary School.
Mr. Trevor Blake
Trevor Blake is an accomplished businessman who has dedicated more than forty (40) years of service to
the financial and manufacturing sectors. He brings to MoneyMasters the wealth of experience and expertise
that he has garnered over the years in finance through his responsibilities and management of accounts,
administration and human resources while also serving as corporate secretary. He currently commands
dual responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Exotic Products Jamaica and Chief Financial
Officer (CFO) of Boss Furniture Company.
Trevor has been lead or support consultant on various projects for the private and public sectors, as
well as for bi-lateral agencies such as the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
His experience also includes developing and presenting courses in Corporate Governance, Strategic and
Tactical Thinking and Planning, Anti-Money Laundering, Asset/Liability Management, Credit Administration
and Risk-based Lending. Trevor has also researched and presented on the Feasibility of Central Stabilization
and Liquidity Programmes for the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Credit Unions.
Trevor’s educational profile includes a Bachelors’ Degree in Business and an MBA – Int’l Finance through
a consortium graduate Programme. In addition to being a passionate and devoted financial expert,
Trevor is also a quintessential volunteer in the Credit Union Movement for over forty (40) years.
A devout church man, he is also a proud volunteer on the board of the Hampton School for twenty-three
years and now serves as the institution’s Chairman.
Mr. Christopher Robinson
Compliance and Risk Manager
Christopher Robinson has been a finance industry professional for more than twenty-five (25) years. He
has served as a director of COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union Limited for over twenty-one (21)
years and served as treasurer since 2008 until his appointment as secretary in 2013.Chris brings
to MoneyMasters Limited his broad experience in the financial sector which spans being a financial
analyst with the Office of the Superintendent of Insurance and Country Manager of CUNA Mutual Group
in Jamaica. He has also served as a Human Resource Development Officer (HRDO) and teaches Accounts
and Management related subjects.
Christopher was educated at the University of the West Indies where he gained his Bachelors of Science
Degree in Management Studies and later successfully read for a Masters Degree in Accounting and Finance.
He also holds the Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation from the Life Office Management
Association (LOMA) in Atlanta, Georgia.
A service oriented individual, he has been President of the Kiwanis Club of Kingston, President of the
Life Insurance Companies Association of Jamaica, Honorary Trustee and Treasurer of the Jamaica Medical
Foundation. He has also been the Chairman of the Jamaica Co-operatives Insurance Agency Limited since
Ms. Andrea Morris Accounts Manager
Andrea Morris has been active in the field of accounting and financial management for over twenty (25)
years. She has worked extensively across the financial services industry and brings to MoneyMasters
Limited specialized skills in financial planning and financial statements preparation and analysis.
Andrea has dedicated her years of service in companies such as Appliance Trader Group Pension Scheme,
ICWI Group, Victoria Mutual Wealth Management and Sagicor Limited. She has served in capacities such
as Chief Accountant, Chief Financial Officer and Internal Auditor.
Andrea Morris was educated at the University of Manchester (England) and the University of Technology
and holds a Masters in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration
in Accounting. Andrea currently holds the position of Accounting Manager and has direct oversight
for the operations of the Accounting Department.
Ms. Sandra Ottey
Sandra Ottey has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having worked at the National
Commercial Bank, Jamaica Money Market Brokers, Horizon Securities Limited, Citizens Bank Limited
and Mayberry Investments Limited. She has served in several capacities including Customer Service
Manager, Securities and Payables Officer, Treasury Assistant, Senior Trader, Operations Manager and
Treasury and Securities manager. Ms. Ottey holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of the West Indies in Management Studies and has undergone formal training in supervisory management,
business correspondence, anti-money laundering practices and project management.
As Settlements Manager, Ms. Ottey ensures that all transactions are backed by suitable securities and
optimal process flow practices are enforced.
Ms. Carol Anglin
Carol Anglin has served on the Board of Directors of COK Sodality since 1995. A Management consultant, she has more than 20 years’ experience in commerce and business development, qualitative and quantitative research, institutional development, marketing, export marketing management, sales management and organizational development. She is the currently the Managing Director of Ebony Business Printers.
